I strongly belief that truth is the essence of every life story otherwise you can all what your writing fiction. If you break that bond with your reader, your own family member, you have lost all credibility. This topic will be revisited over time. …it gives all of us writers pause to get back to the basics. If you write about what you know then you do not get lost. You do not struggle with story lines and the writing comes easily. People create these glimpses of their lives, life histories, with the materials they had on hand. Each one truly creative and giving an insight of the person who created it. When you think about it, that is what you do when your write your memoir or life story. It is those memories that make the writing rich and fun to do. Some people remember easily but some need prompts with triggers. Triggers can be the nudge you need to get started writing. |
