why write your life story

Just heard a story on NPR Saturday Morning with Scott Simon about Anne Frank and whether it is literature. The interview explained without out a lecture of why it is important to write your story. It was the last few minutes of the interview that hit a home run for me. Anne Frank will live forever and the people she wrote about will be talked about forever. It was the perfect why to look at personal history and why it is important for you own family to document their stories. I will link to the feature later when I can get the url. If you are a personal historian you to may want to copy the link since it is way for a potential client to understand that words have a way of lingering for ever and it is a great way for future generation in the family to get to know them through their own words.  listen to the NPR story
