I want you to know one of the best ways to start your life story is to create you own set of rules. Once those rules are set you can then feel free to start writing.
I am creating a set of rules of my blog. I will not laugh at your misspellings or grammatical errors if you do not laugh at mine. I leave out words and when I proof my writing those words appear to me but not to the readers. I have been lucky to have wonderful secretaries over the years that were able to fill in my wholes. My editor for my book, Linda has not ever complained.
As I say in the book, you need to create an uncritical environment to write and I want to create that place for me and my readers. My mother had a sixth grade education and she is one of the smartest women I know. I have a college degree and many post studies but that does not make what I say more important than someone less educated. So if you are living a life and you want to write about it, I want you to feel comfortable asking any question. I have been told that the only stupid question is the one that does not get asked. Now, if I do not know the answer I know some very smart people at the Association of Personal Historians that might be able to answer it.
I want this to be a very supportive environment for you to come and share your trails and tribulations in writing your own life story. I want you to buy my book that has five years of my newsletters. I want you to sign up for my free monthly newsletter about life story writing by sending me an email at hella@personalhistories101.com But more than anything…I want your to write your life story for your family!

Impressive Site. Good luck on your journey to helping others find the voice.
